Well, If you look closely you will see a critter walking by my camera. I think it is a bobcat, but I can't tell for sure. It may be another pig. It does have a curly tail but it looks to me like it has a white belly. So I think it is a cat. There are plenty of them around this area. I've got one sitting in front of me know that I shot and had mounted almost 10 years ago; Right before my oldest was born. WOW, how time flies.
Anyway, this last weekend we got several food plots planted. I think they will do quite nicely. We also done some scouting and I have probably found my opening day spot. John and his Dad spotted about 6 trees FULL of muskidines. Most were still green. Which means they should be turning right around opening day. That's great news for me. Now I just have to hang a stand.
Also, I got some results on my experiment. (My Experiment: I took corn and poured it out on in about 9 places to see if anything was using the trails nearby.) I was trying to narrow down my search for Good hunting spots. Well, They were all hit except, of course, the one with the camera on it. I actually forgot to check 2 of them. I'll do that Sat. The first pile in the bottoms, just as you enter, was nothing but a mud hole of hoof prints. The pile on Phil's Hill was eaten but it looked more like it was by squirels or coons. They left alot of cracked corn. But all four N side fence piles were eaten up. I believe that is the place to be for Phil ane I opening day. I'll be moving my camera up there Sat. or mon. with some extra attractant of some kind to see what there is to see.
Phil has 3 stands to hang, John has at least one, I've got two plus one to move. I have located 5-6 possible stand sites. 4 of them is on the east side. I have to do some more scouting on the west side.
Hopefully, we will have some better pics soon. That's all for now,
